Peter Warren, Dining Chairs in American Maple (Furniture)

The design and construction detail for this set of eight dining chairs was initiated at a two week course at the Centre for Fine Woodworking, Nelson, New Zealand with tutors Micheal Fortune from Canada and Kelly Parker, USA. My goal was to create a tall, elegant, comfortable and practical dining chair for everyday use. With the tall, laminated curve of the back legs and the flowing sweep of the back panels, these chairs ask to be be viewed from the back. Made entirely of American maple for its light colour, subtle grain and excellent strength.
