The Weekend at Wood Dust Makers Conference is a new type of event for the woodworkers of Australia being held during Wood Dust Designer Maker this August in Footscray. Over two days there will be 48 x 90 minute live woodworking demonstrations and talks presented by an ensemble of designer makers including Matt Kenney, Alastair Boell, Adam Markowitz, Vic Tesolin and Will Matthysen to name a few. Topics covered include design, hand tool techniques, kumiko, finishing, boxmaking, turning and professional topics such as career development and media.

The program offers:
• Inspiring, educational woodworking instruction for all skill levels taught by Australian and international designer makers
• Workshop spaces supported by video screen and audio for maximum interaction with the demonstrators
• A show bag stuffed with woodworking goodies
• A catered lunch and free snacks, tea and coffee on both days
• Free entry into the Timber & Tool Marketplace
