Voting now open! Popular Choice Student Awards 2018

What an incredible range of entries we have received for Student Awards 2018! Once again we see that age is no barrier to the fearless exploration of woodworking techniques and not to mention some seemingly impossible design ideas. Congratulations to all who have entered and to their teachers, families and supporters.

Student Awards are open to students in years 11 and 12 in Australia. Four awards will now be determined by our judges Darren Fry and Carol Russell. Together our sponsors Carbatec, Triton Tools, Best Abrasives and Hare & Forbes Machinery House will reward these entrants with prizes valued in excess of $9,000.

Winners of Overall Best, Best Design, Best Hand Skills and Best Use of Native Timbers will be announced in the March 2019 issue of Australian Wood Review magazine.

The fifth award, Popular Choice will now be determined by you! Head to our Facebook page to "like" as many entries as you wish. The entrant who receives the most Facebook "reactions" will win a Luban block plane sponsored by Timbecon.
