Video series with Mike Dunbar, Windsor chair guru

Mike Dunbar has made Windsor chairs for 45 years and since 1980 taught his skills to others throughout the USA and Canada. In 1994 Mike and his wife Susanna opened their own school – The Windsor Institute. By their own estimate they have taught Windsor chairmaking to some 6,500 people from five continents.

In 2016 Mike and Susanna retired and closed The Institute, however there were many who still wanted to learn from them. Their solution was to videotape their celebrated introductory sack back class and post it on their YouTube channel. They plan to record videos for the 17 different Windsor chair types they used to teach.
