Video: patents for future Festool innovations

In this video from Doresoom Tool Reviews we learn of the some of the patents for new technology that Festool has on the drawing board.

The first patent mentioned is for a CNC 'trackless' track saw which self corrects laterally and rotationally via the same technology employed by Shaper Origin (Tooltechnic Systems aka TTS is Festool’s parent company and bought Shaper in 2019). An automatic kickback detecting featured is also slated for new trackless tracksaw technology.

Yet another patent mentioned in the video looks at using Sawstop (another TTS acquisition) technology into a mitre saw. The last patent mentioned looks at an innovation for cordless drills, a worklight that adjust to the length and depth of the bit in use.
