The Dead Tree Detective project seeks your input

A new Western Sydney University project asks people to send in photos of and info about dead or dying trees around Australia. The aim is to identify trees that are vulnerable, and take steps to protect them. The project is run in association with the University of New England.

The imperative for this study has been raised in response to widespread drought conditions and signs of climate change.

Basically you are requested to look out for dead or dying trees in your area, upload a photograph with date and location. To submit your observations head to this link

The project is registered with the Atlas of Living Australia and will contribute to its knowledge base.
