Student Awards 2017: Now Open For Entry
Entries for Australian Wood Review's popular annual competition for younger woodworkers are now open!
Now in its fourth year, Wood Review's Student Awards are Australia's only national online showcase for secondary school students of woodwork in years 11 and 12. Website and social media galleries give family, friends and the wider community the opportunity to share in the achievements of younger woodworkers and to interact with comments of support and praise.
Social media postings on Wood Review's Instagram and Facebook pages take place in the exciting lead-up to the final December unveiling. Importantly, Student Awards also acknowledge the input of our schools and teachers as they facilitate and support the learning of hand skills and the competencies and confidence these instill.
This year's judges for the awards as well as competition updates will be announced via Wood Review's fortnightly eNews (sign-up on our home page).
With online entry and image upload it's now even simpler to enter. The deadline for entry is December 14, 2017. After that date all entries may be viewed in our website gallery. Popular Choice voting takes place on Facebook. Award winners will be featured in March 2018 issue of Australian Wood Review.
Student Awards are proudly sponsored by suppliers to the woodworking industry. These are companies who base their own endeavours on innovation, the creation and provision of quality tools and equipment to a clientele they truly value. Our sponsors recognise the importance of encouraging the learning of skills by younger Australians.
By creating a platform for viewing and sharing in the achievements of our younger woodworkers, Australian Wood Review joins with our sponsors in inviting all students in years 11 and 12 to enter Student Awards 2017.
