Soon in Sydney: Timber, Tools & Artisan Show
Scenes from the Brisbane Timber, Tools & Artisan show launched in March this year.
The second Timber & Working with Wood show of 2019, under the new name and format of ‘Timber, Tools & Artisan show’ kicks off in Sydney on June 7-9.
For over 30 years the shows were known as Timber & Working with Wood Show. In 2018, Phoenix Exhibitions took over the shows with a new vision to revive and grow the shows. Their aim is to bring creativity, inspiration and ‘making’ to our communities.
The shows promise to stay connected to their strong woodworking heritage with a prominent timber and woodcraft presence but will start bringing a range of complementary creative disciplines to inspire new and past visitors.
The Sydney Timber, Tools & Artisan Show will run for three days in both the Exhibition Hall & JR Fleming Building at Rosehill Gardens. The show will feature over 70 exhibitors including five timber merchants, many live demonstrations throughout the day, interactive and hands-on workshops, art displays, retail and supplies stands plus a free kids’ creative space.
Some of the demonstrations include:
- Blacksmithing and bladesmithing
