“Unlocking Future Furniture and Woodworking Markets with Synergistic Sustainable Innovation” is the catchcry of this year’s Shanghai International Furniture Machinery and Woodworking Machinery Fair (WMF 2024) and co-hosted China International Furniture Fair (CIFF).

The event takes place from September 11 to 14, 2024 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC) in Shanghai. The event, spanning 50,000 square meters, is expected to bring together over 370 of the world’s leading machinery and material exhibitors across the woodworking and furnishing industry.

As a significant hub for comprehensive home furnishing solutions and materials, WMF 2024 will gather crucial process links in the industrial chain, from initial wood processing, panel board, panel furniture, solid wood, surface treatment, and finishing technologies to home furnishing materials. It offers an ideal international platform for visitors to discover, learn, and understand the practical application of these innovations.

In response to the rising sustainability trends and increasing consumer demand for personalised home furnishings, WMF 2024’s  “Synergising Sustainable Innovation” theme emphasises the importance of collaboration among furniture businesses, material providers, and machinery equipment manufacturers in driving industry advancements and leading innovation in furniture production.

A series of concurrent events, including the Supply Chain Development Conference, Upholstery Trend Forum, New Development Forum of Wood Plastic in China, Surface Treatment Forum, Plywood High-quality Development Forum, and The 21st National Panel-Board Industry Development Seminar, will explore how emerging technologies and applications can enhance the precision, efficiency, and eco-friendliness of furniture production while catering to the market's demand for customised furnishings.

Set against the vibrant backdrop of Shanghai, WMF 2024 is planned to be a melting pot of innovation, sustainability and collaboration.
