The making of the French-inspired trestle dining table partly shown here was a big task. The weighty sections of maple and spotted gum that good fortune conspired to be given to Troy McDonald just after he had settled on a design for a family table were too good to be true, but required various strategies to manoeuvre and machine in his very small home workshop.

In September issue of Wood Review detailed drawings explain in a seven-page project feature how the table is contructed. But here's a few words from Troy himself:
