Responsible Wood, Australia's largest forest certification scheme, has launched a new 'PEFC Australia' website promoting PEFC forest certification in Australia.

PEFC maintains comprehensive databases to ensure easy access to relevant information about certificate holders, logo and label users, certified products, accredited certification bodies, and PEFC-endorsed national certification schemes.

Reflecting on the new website, Responsible Wood Marketing and Communications Officer Jason Ross, emphasised the growing awareness and footprint of PEFC in Australia and across international markets.

"The new website draws on the global reach of PEFC as the world's largest forest certification scheme and highlights the important role of Responsible Wood as the governing body for PEFC in Australia," Mr Ross said.

In 2019, PEFC International celebrated its 20th anniversary.

In 2004, Australia and Chile became the first non-European certification systems to be endorsed by PEFC.
