Opening September 23 and on show until November 19, 2017, Red Gum is an exhibition which tells the story of Eucalyptus camaldulensis through ecology and art. The exhibition will take place at Wangaratta Art Gallery.

The exhibition will be opened by local ecologist and river redgum specialist Ian Davidson after an artist meet and greet at 2pm on the same day. On Saturday September 24 Art + Ecology will feature artists' floor talks and an ecologist presentation.

Featured artists include Penny Algar, Lorraine Connelly-Northey, Damien Wright, Sophie Cunningham, Sal Kimba, Bill Young. Ecology and other science-based presentations will be made by Jo Bell, Dr Beth Gott, Ian Davidson, Ian Lunt, Professor David Watson, Greg Moore and Glen Johnson.
