Porta is proud to release – New Porta Endure, a beautiful and high-performing exterior timber cladding, created by combining durable Porta Cumaru hardwood with an engineered design.

National Marketing Manager, Michelle Kelly announces “The release brings us one step closer to being Australia’s leading company for innovative sustainable timber solutions. What makes Porta Endure Timber Cladding advanced is it’s engineered profile for superior weather resistance. When that cladding profile is moulded from durable Porta Cumaru hardwood, it becomes the complementary combination of technology and materiality for an enduring product. We are excited to now be able to offer a suite of high-quality products for a complete exterior solution.”

The Porta Endure Timber Cladding product has evolved from the research and development by Prof. Perry Forsythe, Professor of Construction Management, Faculty of Design Architecture and Building at University of Technology Sydney, and as a result of a project funded by the Forest and Wood Products Research and Development Corporation.

The results from Prof Perry Forsythe’s project have provided innovative features which have been incorporated in Porta Endure timber cladding for improved performance. With small details such as the protective rounded corner and angled drainage recess to large features including the extended overlap and robust tongue – Porta Endure has been designed to outperform traditional cladding profiles.

Porta Endure is made from Porta Cumaru hardwood, the ideal Class 1 rated timber to meet the requirements of contemporary design and the National Construction Code. This means the timber cladding is extremely durable, has near zero-leaching and is termite resistant.

“Porta, an Australian-owned and operated company, has a rich history spanning over 65 years proudly manufacturing locally in Fairfield Victoria and distributing a broad range of timber products nationally. It is this strong history with timber that drives Porta’s commitment to sustainable operations,” stated Ms Kelly.

Porta Cumaru is FSC® certified as being responsibly harvested and processed. “FSC practices assure protection of the forests’ biodiversity and ecological processes and ensure local workers, communities and indigenous populations rights are upheld - making it a socially, environmentally and socially sustainable option,” remarked Ms Kelly.
