The latest in a series of talks by outstanding Australian practitioners presented by Studio Woodworkers Australia features one of Australia's mostly highly respected designer makers and educators.

In the Studio – A conversation with David Upfill-Brown about Life and Practice will take place 17 April, at 7pm EST (Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney).

David Upfill-Brown is a furniture maker who creates bespoke, handcrafted pieces of furniture. He combines traditional techniques with modern design to create functional and aesthetically pleasing pieces of furniture. His work often features natural materials such as wood, stone, and metal, and he takes a meticulous approach to each piece to ensure the highest level of quality.

In the webinar, David will discuss his life, where he's worked and what he's done, as well as review his teaching practices and possibly give advice on making/running a business. He is a lively and engaging speaker whose experience and wit is sure to interest experienced makers as well as those new to the scene.
