The concept was to make an aesthetically pleasing and functional piece from recycled timber that was at a suitable skill level for my Minor Major work. I sized the timber myself and using plans from the internet I constructed the Lamp table using through and stopped mortise and tenon joints and edge banding. A gentle taper on the bottom of the legs and curved bottom and side rails soften the box like shape. A veneer compass star highlighted the top and the unit was finished with lacquer.
