"Our Guild was established in 1984 and this will be our 35th annual show", explains Kerry Pask, member of the organising Ballarat Woodies Club. "Covid led to cancellation of our Show for the recent two years", he said. "This year The Ballarat Showgrounds management and Ballarat City Council supported our idea to hold the show…with suitable Covid protection in place."

"We have several timber merchants and purveyors of fine wood attending, and the popular Samantha from Steves Woodcraft; and Pop's Shed are coming up from Melbourne. We even have woodies coming in from South Australia.

"Our members have crafted many wood articles for display and some for sale. Others are demonstrating woodworking skills. The craft side of the show is comparatively small but will feature paper crafts, bead work, local artist paintings, and a few others.

"Entrance is not expensive and kids are free…..Bunnings is sponsoring (and supplying for) a super Kids Corner, with our support. We have arranged for a super Food Truck….Mr Squidgeys! and a barista Coffee Van…..Blue Wren Coffees."

See the Ballarat Wood & Craft Show at Ballarate Showrounds, 702 Creswick Rd, Ballarat on the weekend of September 10–11.
