Cobb+Co Museum’s signature Have A Go! Festival is returning on 25 February 2017, complete with new artisans, trades and projects.

The annual event is a crowd favourite, celebrating traditional and modern trades and bringing together award-winning artisans and experts to share their knowledge and skills with the wider community for one day.

Queensland Museum CEO and Director Professor Suzanne Miller said that the Have A Go! Festival provided a unique day out for the family.

“In the one outing visitors can learn more about a range of trades and skills through a variety of demonstrations, have a go sessions, expert talks and mini trade workshops,” she said.

There is something for the whole family to enjoy, from old Have a Go! Festival favourites such as blacksmithing, damper making and the popular Kids Have a Go area to new additions like beer, wine and mead making for adults.

For those who cannot attend during the day, Professor Miller said the full festival program will run through the evening with activities extended until 9pm.

“This year, for the first time, the festival will run into the evening with visitors able to soak up the atmosphere under the stars, exploring the museum and artisan trades by twilight,” she said.

Cobb+Co Museum has partnered with Tourism and Events Queensland to deliver this one of a kind event exclusive to Toowoomba. The event is promoted through the It’s Live! in Queensland world-class events calendar.

Tickets are now on sale via QTIX. Cost: Adults $15, Families (2A+4C) $40, Children (3-12 years) $10, Mini Workshops $30-$50. Have A Go! Festival will be held on 25 February 2017, 9am – 9pm at Cobb+Co Museum, 27 Lindsay Street, Toowoomba.
