Furniture Pop-Up
AWR Tools & Equipment Editor Raf Nathan takes it to the people…
For a few weeks into May 2014, furniture and other objects made by well known woodworking author Raf Nathan will be on sale at Shop 5, Corner Lamington and Welsby Sts, New Farm, Brisbane.
If you’re a regular Wood Review reader you may even recognise some of the pieces — maybe you’ve even made your own versions! Raf will also have some of the tools he has designed there for sale as well.
A couple of decades ago Handmade Furniture was the name Raf called the small shop that fronted the furniture making workshop he had in Ripponlea, Melbourne. In those days he made furniture to order and also supplied a Baltic pine outlet with a few stock lines. Raf has published a couple of project books with the same name — using it for the Pop-Up Shop seemed to follow on.
