The Australian Furniture Association (AFA) is an industry peak body that represents an estimated 250,000 people who are employed in furniture manufacturing businesses.

Competition from overseas manufacturers in particular has created extreme challenges for our furniture industry and the AFA has renewed its focus on local manufacturers as they develop designs and sustainable practices to meet market demands.

FURNITEX connect is the AFA’s signature annual event and encompasses trade displays, industry and emerging designer awards, as well as a conference, seminars and a gala award night. Australian Wood Review visited the event and recorded some of the highlights.
