Here’s an intriguing design for a timber component based on the structure of the human spine. The possibilities of assembling Spyndi components into different chair and furniture configurations are seemingly endless.

Designed by Mindaugas Zilionis from Lithuania, Spyndi was first presented in 2007, then throughout Finland, the Baltic countries, at the London Design Festival in 2013 and in Stockholm in 2015.

As of July 12, 2016 Spyndi reported it had reached its Kickstarter crowdfunding goal, in fact it received three times as much support as requested and with pre-orders from 35 countries.
