FAB9 is a new makerspace in Melbourne that is destined to the hub of that city's thriving maker community. This is an open access space for woodworkers, industrial designers, startups, creatives and craftspeople to prototype, make and undertake small scale manufacturing.

Wood, metal, plastics and other materials will be transformed in the well equipped space offering top of the line CNC and traditional technologies, an ideal place for entrepreneurs to develop new concepts and products.

FAB9 founder and CEO Hans Chang sums it up: "FAB9 is like the launch vehicle of a rocket. We help new ideas get into orbit. We are empowering people to create."

Located in Footscray, FAB9 opens Feb 2019. For a monthly subscription fee you can access woodworking machines and a flatbed CNC router. Not only is this an affordable way to start making, it's also a great place to develop new skills and meet a community of makers.

You are also invited to support the FAB9 initiative too, see how to contribute to FAB9's crowdfunding pre-sale campaign.

FAB9 is located at Ground Floor, 90 Maribyrnong Street, Footscray, Vic 3011, see fab9.com.au and get in touch via email at hello@fab9.com.au
