In recent years the Victorian Woodworkers Association has, in conjunction with Waste Converters, mounted the highly successful Create from a Crate exhibitions (see review in issue 91, Australian Wood Review magazine). It is not since 2005 however that the VWA has exhibited an exhibition of fine woodwork that was not based on the very worthy recycling theme of CFAC.

Next year that will change as in 2017 as the VWA will concurrently hold two exhibitions of fine woodworking under the one banner of Double Take in Wood. One will be the regular highlight of quality recycling in Create from a Crate, open to all enthusiastic woodworkers. The other will be a return to the traditional VWA Exhibition of Fine Woodworking, open to all members and inviting them to show off the very best of their talents and abilities.

Double Take in Wood will be held at the Manningham Gallery Doncaster, Victoria from October 18 until November 11, 2017.

If you are interested in participating in one or both of these exhibitions please go to vwa17.org.au for registration.

The VWA will respond with comprehensive entry forms, conditions of entry and delivery and collection requirements. Please note that the VWA reserves the right to jury entries.
