DESIGN Canberra is a four-day festival that runs from November 19–23. It's hosted by Craft ACT: Craft + Design Centre, and celebrates and promotes Canberra’s vibrant and diverse design community. Explore a CBD reACTivated by pop-up exhibitions, installations, studios and shops; visit MODERN market to find works by leading local and interstate designers; see this city in a whole new light with the Capital of Culture Tours; discuss new ways of creative thinking with the Design Buzz conversation and lecture series, and many more innovative events that will inspire, challenge and ‘change the way you think’ about this designed city.
DESIGN Buzz: Conversations, talks and lectures on design thinking, design for social change, design and architecture and design research.
Capital of CULTURE Tours: Tours with designers and architects for a close up of landscape and architectural landmarks, design projects and the best Canberra coffee stops.
MODERN market: High-end, innovative designers and makers from Canberra and across the nation offering a unique opportunity to meet and buy directly from Australia’s craft and design talent. From 2-8pm on Saturday 22 November at NewActon Nishi and Hotel Hotel.
Living Artists: Engaging with the diverse talents of Canberra designers, artists and design houses.
