  • Brian Dawson, Medal box made from English sycamore. The lid is veneered with Tasmanian sassafras on the outside and West African zebrawood on the inside. The base is Tasmanian blackwood. The coloured vertical stripes in blue, red and green represent a medal ribbon. The box is finished in shellac and oil and the dimensions are 320 x 250 x 75mm.

Creations in Wood is an exhibition of work by over 20 members of the Woodworkers' Association of NSW.

The exhibition runs from November 2–26 at Gallery Lane Cove, Upper Level, 164 Longueville Rd, Lane Cove, NSW. The gallery is open Monday to Friday 10am – 4:30pm, Saturday 10am – 2:30pm.
