In the December 2015 issue of Wood Review, Sydney furniture maker Andy Groeneveld explains how some time ago he decided that he needed something better than a plastic tub to carry his treasured handtools around in!

Kauri pine was chosen for the carcase for its strength but relative light weight. The four lift-out trays are made from European oak and the frame and panel lid has suede covered panels for an interesting touch.

For Andy the chest turned out to be a satisfying and enjoyable build. You can hear him introduce it in the video below.
