Bit by Bit: Robots Assemble IKEA Furniture

Assuming you are, of course, a fine furniture maker…have you ever arrived home with your IKEA purchase to find yourself faced with a box full of parts, bolts and instructions?

Researchers at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore developed a system of two robotic arms that are capable of assembling Ikea chairs in 20 minutes. Even though robots have 3D vision, apparently they initially had problems as well, but this video shows how the pace picked up!
