If you're making more than one box you can save time by making jigs and templates for repeated and measured operations.

One example of this is when you go to dividing an enclosed box carcase, ie sawing the lid off.

Instead of measuring the depths of the lid and the main part of the box, and allowing for the kerf material removed by the sawblade each time, here's how to make a simple template to streamline the process in the video shown below.
