Video: Making a Japanese wagatabon tray

Comments Comments

A short length of timber, a few sharp hand tools and a drill press equipped with a forstner bit are the minimal items required to make a wagatabon (Wagatani-style tray) as demonstrated by Peter Spaulding, who you can learn more about at Instagram @iwao_wood.and.art

Note: A wagatabon is a type of traditional carved wooden tray, once made by roof shingle makers in Wagatani, a small village in Japan.
