VIDEO: Dylan Moore on making a large bent wood sculpture

Comments Comments

Ever wondered how some people come up with ideas for and fabricate complex bent wood sculptural wall art? Well, here’s a step-by-step video explanation and demonstration of Hyphae, the piece that Canadian woodworker Dylan Moore has entered in this year’s Maker of the Year presented by Carbatec.

Hyphae was a bespoke commission inspired by ‘the unseen part of the tree’ as explained in Peter Wohlleben’s book ‘The Hidden Life of Trees’ that looks at mycelium, the underground fungal network of trees.

Dylan Moore is an artist, designer, and maker based in Toronto, Canada.
