The Wootha Prize is an annual national woodworking competition which attracts innovative craftspeople and focuses on the promotion of native timbers and sustainable use of timber resources.

The Wootha Prize forms the feature exhibition at the Wood Expo which will run for the 22nd year in 2018 attracting thousands of visitors to the area who enjoy a huge program of displays, demonstrations along with educational and commercial exhibits.

This year's Wootha Prize theme is ‘Joined’ and is a nod to furniture makers, boxmakers, sculptors and turners to unleash their imaginations to create a special piece that will be included in an exhibition that will be viewed by a large audience of woodwork and wood lovers.
