Junior-Landcare-Maleny-Expo-2017.jpg2017 is shaping up to be another bumper year for Maleny's award winning Expo.

This event is annually devoted to all things wood and delivers up loads of displays, demos, workshops, seminars and more within a festival atmosphere that's also enriched with local food and entertainment.

Set on the pastoral Maleny Showgrounds visitors can wander around from indoor to outdoor venues, enjoying the Sunshine Coast vibes and fresh air.

The whole family is catered for. In particular, this year features a Junior Landcare Paddock with numerous workshops for younger woodworkers in Cool Stool, Funky Gourd Birds, Make Your Own Mothers' Day Present, Woven Gumnut Cubby House, Stick Play, Bush Critters and more...

Workshops for Carving with Don Powell, Spooncarving with Carol Russell and Making a Milking Stool with Richard Knight also take place but you need to book asap as some of these may be booked out already!

The Maleny Wood Expo takes place from April 29 to May 1. Friday evening April 28 marks the opening of the annual Wootha Prize exhibition which features during the entire expo. The Expo includes a large trade show display of fine tools, machinery and timber adding more reasons why those who can should make a beeline for Maleny at the end of the month.
