While at the Sydney Timber show last month we shot the latest ‘sausage sacrifice’ demo that took place on the Carbatec stand. This features a test run of the ground-breaking SawStop safety sawblade braking system using a sausage as a flesh substitute.
Toby Pond from SawStop USA explains the system as he demonstrates. It’s a case of ’now you see it, now you don’t‘ because once the ‘flesh’ contacts the blade the latter drops instantly below the table.
