Last year we announced the recipient of The Krenov Foundation’s inaugural Professional Development Award. Kelly Parker of Kansas City, MO (pictured below) used her award to study advanced wood bending techniques as artist-in-residence at the Centre for Fine Woodworking in Nelson, New Zealand.

Applications for the 2017 Professional Development Award are now invited and will be accepted between July 1 and August 31, 2017. The Krenov Foundation will again award $2500 for an emerging fine woodworking professional to assist that person as an artist-in-residence, or as a visiting scholar at a nationally recognized woodworking school or craft centre. The award is for a residency that begins no later than December 31, 2018.

If you are an emerging or mid-career (minimum four years experience) seek more information from www.thekrenovfoundation.org
