Workshops collide in a beautiful way as traditional Windsor chairmakers Rundell & Rundell Chairmakers prepare to relocate to the workshop space of David Emery, contemporary furniture maker.

The workshop at 6 Mollison Place, Kyneton, Victoria will henceforth become a shared make and design space, and a place where woodwork classes will take place.

Consolidating workshops means that a ‘once in a lifetime’ sale of both furniture and machinery will now happen on November 17 and 18. Furniture by both David Emery and Glen Rundell will be for sale, along with vintage quality hand tools and machinery (Wadkin, Waldown, Woodfast), and timber (Emglish elm, silky oak, hoop pine) and veneer stocks.

The gates open at 9am sharp with “no earlybirds” permitted. There will be a coffee van on site. The Macedon Ranges Annual Budburst Wine Festival also takes place on that weekend, even more reason to head north out of Melbourne.

When: Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 November
Where: 6 Mollison Place, Kyneton, Victoria
