On the weekend of September 24 and 25, Ballarat will host its annual Wood and Craft Show. In addition to displays of fine furniture, turning and carving the show will entertain and excite visitors with a variety of activities.

Headlining the bill is Angie the ‘Chainsaw Chick’. Over the course of the weekend Angie will carve a cypress log into stunning statue. At the other end of the scale a children’s construction corner will teach kids how to do-it-themselves.

The show is run by the Ballarat Woodworker’s Guild and visitors should note this year it takes place at a new venue.

Venue: Ballarat Exhibition Centre, 501 Dowling Street, Wendouree, Victoria.
Entry:  $12 / $10, kids under 16 free
