Last year Terry Martin was an organiser for 2014 World Wood Day in Xianyou, China. Terry brought together turners from all around the world to take part in an exchange that aimed to bring about a revival of turning in that country.
Australia was also represented by Theo Harampalou, and you will see in the recently published video below that Australian-made Vicmarc lathes had a starring role.
Terry Martin wrote about WWD in issue 83 of Australian Wood Review and in April 2014 we showed another video about a related collaborative sculpting event. World Wood Day is organised by the International Wood Culture Society.
