Concept
This is a commissioned piece for a client
with an art deco house in Melbourne. The
inlay design is adapted from the glass
sliding doors into the living space and
the veneer choices to reflect my company
logo and name. The form is inspired by
Jacques Ardnet more minimal works, minimal
cantilevered architectural forms of the
30–40s and my time in Asia. The
use of recycled timbers is a conscious
choice to minimise the environment footprint
of the item and a focus of Watermoon Design
furniture.
