Concept
The idea of the curve seat was taken from
traditional roof architecture in Malaysia
called Minang which comes from Negeri
Sembilan state. Minang stool has a cultural
aesthethics and with a simple design,
it stacks up on top of each other facing
front or facing sides.
The Kangaroo laces that wraps the top
of curved seat weaved through the middle
provides a soft feel when sitting on the
hard but curved ply. The colours of the
laces also enhance the timber colour and
the line created from the laminated ply
reflects the woven pattern.
