Ludwig Mlcek, NSW

The base frame is made out of flitches of W.R. Cedar, generally in 250 x 200 size, sourced from a local timber yard specialising in exotic species of timber, a well seasoned old stock.
Based on development sketches a set of templates was made to enable pre-cutting and roughing up blocks before laminating, in order to simplify finishing.
All joints are very basic butt joints, glued with Borden brand (no longer on the market) aliphatic resin.
The object is finished with Cabots Rosewood stain and some 10 coats of Country Oil, produced by Dale-Glass Industries.

Concept
The same principle as for Not So Ordinary applies.
