Wrapped Hall Table
1300 x 340 x 800mm

Wrapped is a hall table brought down to its bare minimum. Nothing extra there to clutter the view or disrupt the design. In a simple and pure form, this table stands out as a conversation piece.
This table was made from a single plank of Huon pine and Peruvian walnut. These timbers were used for there contrast. Huon pine is one of the oldest living plants on earth, making this table ancient in years but contemporary in design.
To separate this piece from mass produced furniture, I used handcut dovetails to join the leg frames together. The rails under the top were joined using the Festool Domino. Finished by hand sanding to 800 grit and hand rubbed with natural plant derived oils.
