‘The rosewood fence post chosen for this clock could have been in the ground for as long as one hundred years. I wanted the piece of wood and its history to be very obvious rather than overworking it. Simply exposing the wood that lay beneath the rough exterior, the simple spiral flutes in the centre and the Huon pine inserts were enough to leave my mark.’
