tables
recycled black butt, red forest gum
‘Designed
to be made in small production runs, this
table was made from recycled building
hardwoods. To bring a more contemporary
feel, 10mm stainless steel round was used
to hold the end caps in place and for
the handle.’
Dining table
and chairs
reclaimed flooded gum
‘My concept
was to design a dining table and chairs
that can be made in small production runs
using mainly recycled hardwood, keeping
in mind the timber to be used is no wider
than 150mm and no thicker than 50mm. With
a growing trend for apartment living the
table size has been kept to a minimum,
accommodating 4–6 people quite comfortably.
‘The main aim of this range of furniture
is to produce fine contemporary furniture
made from recycled timber allowing people
to see that recycled furniture does not
necessarily mean rustic or primitive furniture.’ |
