Moroccan style
maple hall table
‘This piece
was constructed entirely using dowel joints
and the only other fixings used were nails
to fasten the drawer rails and drawers.
I used cross cut timber for the face,
top and middle shelf and quartersawn timber
for the legs to make use of the different
colourings in the timber so the finished
piece is multi-toned. The front of the
piece has been scrolled in a Moroccan
style design using a jigsaw with very
fine cuts 5mm at the thickest points.
This piece and the others that I create
are designed to stand out and be noticed
as a feature piece of furniture art in
any home.’ |
