Bedside cabinets
jarrah, blue gum, hoop pine, brush box
‘Our house
is late 50s builder designed project home
and as such has no architectural merit
whatsoever. Over the years we have experimented
with various interior decorating styles
none of which looked right. Our latest
effort is to go to the ‘contemporary’;
style, my daughter tells me we have gone
for ‘surfaces’ rather than
‘clutter’. The pair of bedside
tables was conceived to be in the contemporary
style but was to retain a traditional
approach to the build so that I could
continue to develop my cabinet making
skills. The materials were selected on
the criteria of appearance, cost and availability.’ |
