Canopy Hall
Cabinet
figured blackspot jarrah, blackbutt, ultra
white glass.
‘A major
module for students at the Forest Heritage
Centre in Dwellingup, WA is the cabinet
project. We have to develop a theme, design,
draw and then construct a cabinet. The
concept for Canopy came from the canopy
of the jarrah forest, with the organic
shapes of the foliage presenting a strong
presence aloft the powerful and tall trunks
of our beautiful jarrah trees. The ultra
white glass represents a clear sky, which
does not interfere with the colour or
balance of the forest.’ |
